The unique feature on this software is that is having facilities shipping setting in maintenance menu. This function is implementing in case of nozzle expulsion troubles caused by the transport. This function will have a cleaning process performed automatically when the printer is turned on.

• Turn on the Printer.
• Set date setting in your computer to 4 October 2007.
• Run Adjustment Program by clicking “AdjProg.exe”.
• Select Accept
• Select Particular adjustment mode
• Select “Waste ink pad counter – OK
• Click Initialization to reset current protection counter to “Zero”.
• Turn off printer and turn on again.

How to Reset Epson Stylus CX6500

I see some manual reset method on other website. Other methods to reset Epson CX6500 that is using SSC service utility (the latest version support Epson CX6500) and using Adjustment program Epson CX6500 (this software can be used for Epson CX6300, Epson CX6400 and Epson CX6600).

I not yet tried this method:

• Press and hold B/W+COLOR+STOP button.
• Press power button, don’t release all button until you see the led indicator blinking and a message display on the LCD.
• Release the button.
• Press COLOR button to clear protection counter
• Turn off the printer by pressing power button.
• DONE!

Resetting Epson Stylus CX6500/CX6600 using SSC Service utility:

Before resetting the printer using SSC Serve, the printer Epson CX6500 must be installed correctly:

• Turn on the printer.
• Run SSCLG software (latest version is 4.30) and set to Epson stylus CX6500/CX6600.
• Right click SSC icon in the systray select protection counter and the reset protection counter.
• Turn off the printer and turn on again.
• If you see the printer is normal again mean you have succeeded repairing the printer.

Resetting Using Adjustment program Epson CX6500

To run Adjustment program Epson CX6500 no need date setting.

• Download and extract the software.
• Go to extracted folder and run the software by clicking “SCX6x_Ver20.exe” file.
• Set model name to Stylus CX6500 then click Ok.
• Select waste ink pad counter then click ok.
• Click initialization to reset the counter to zero.
• Turn off the printer and turn on again.

How to Reset Epson CX5500

To run resetter Epson cx5500 no require date setting in your computer. But I do not sure with this software, because the appearance of software differing from other adjustment program. Unhappily I do not find alternative software on internet besides this software.

How to run software resetter Epson cx5500

• Download and extract the file.
• Run “ServiceFT.exe”
• Select waste ink pad counter from maintenance item, double click to execute it.
• Click Initialization button to reset current protection counter to Zero.

Ink Out error for Epson Printer

At many cases of Epson printer when ink indicator is empty will show message Ink Out error when printing. This problem is usually marked with red led (ink led or resume led) is on (not blinking). There some ways solutions for the case, some among others that is:

• Using Auto Reset Chips: if using original cartridges replace the original chips of cartridge with autoreset chips.
• Reset Chips of cartridges using chips resetter: some computer and printer shops usually sell chips resetter, otherwise find chips resetter You can use SSC software but at some new Epson printer this software not work (to use the software please read Resetter section on help file)
• Replace the cartridge with new cartridges: this is last solution. Before replace the cartridge ascertain beforehand if problem cause by chips, because I find some cases, ink out error is not caused by chips but cause by print head.
